Papers: Brighton boss Hurzeler would be Shearer's pick to replace Carrick

Alan Shearer suggests Fabian Hurzeler is the best choice to succeed Michael Carrick at Manchester United. This comes as Carrick admits his side's 4-1 defeat to Como in the Champions League was unacceptable. Bruno Fernandes questioned the coaching staff's decision to avoid man-to-man pressing during that match.

Manchester United are concerned that Benjamin Sesko may be out until January. The club may also trigger a contract extension for Lisandro Martinez to ensure a transfer fee is recouped. Meanwhile, Ashley Young warned that hiring Antonio Conte would lead to complications.
