Pakistan players want Category C deals as PCB set to revamp Central Contracts

Pakistan cricketers are reportedly seeking Category C deals as the Pakistan Cricket Board prepares to overhaul its central contract system. The proposed adjustments aim to tie remuneration to specific formats and performance, potentially giving athletes greater freedom to participate in overseas T20 leagues while maintaining availability for international selection.

Decision-making regarding the tier placements has been delayed pending evaluations from head coach Mike Hesson and the selection panel. The assessment will incorporate performances from ongoing domestic first-class matches as well as upcoming white-ball fixtures, with an official announcement expected following the conclusion of the upcoming Test matches.
