The Green Bay Packers will debut Kevin Zeitler in a starting role this Sunday, with the veteran offensive lineman set to take over at right guard for Week 5’s matchup against the Chicago Bears. Zeitler, who joined the Packers’ active roster just days ago, will make his first appearance after sitting out last week’s game to ease into the transition.
The move comes as three other interior linemen—Aaron Banks, Jacob Monk, and Donovan Jennings—were placed on the inactive list, with Banks and Monk dealing with lingering injury concerns and Jennings serving as a healthy scratch following Zeitler’s addition. Meanwhile, the Packers also activated practice squad running back Pierre Strong, who will join Marshawn Lloyd and Kaleb Johnson in the backfield, while Chris Brooks was placed on injured reserve earlier this week.
On the Bears’ side, Caleb Williams and running back Kyle Monangai will miss the game, leaving Tyson Bagent to start at quarterback and D’Andre Swift as the primary ball-carrier.
