Green Bay Packers rookie kicker Trey Smack struggled significantly during a 20-17 loss to the Detroit Lions, missing a 26-yard field goal and having a 35-yard attempt blocked. Selected in the 2026 draft, Smack has converted only 68.8% of his field goals this season, failing to make any of his five misses from 49 yards or closer.
His performance currently trails the league average of 84.2% and draws unfavorable comparisons to former Packers kicker Anders Carlson and the recently released Harrison Mevis. While Smack has also missed two extra points, he remains on the roster despite his ongoing accuracy issues.
