Owen Power scores in OT to complete Sabres' rally for 5-4 win over Maple Leafs

The Buffalo Sabres secured a hard-fought 5-4 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime, with rookie forward Owen Power delivering the game-winning goal. The Sabres' late surge included a crucial third-period tally by Dennis Gilbert, who celebrated with teammate Jack Quinn after beating Sergei Bobrovsky in net.

Toronto’s John Tavares suffered an injury during the third period, adding to the Maple Leafs’ defensive struggles as Buffalo’s Ryan McLeod and Josh Norris applied relentless pressure. Early in the game, Power and Jack Roslovic engaged in a physical battle for puck control, setting the tone for a high-tempo clash at Scotiabank Arena.
