Orioles news: O’s final off day before wrapping up season

The Baltimore Orioles find themselves facing a possible premature end to their regular schedule as adverse weather threatens the final contest of their series. Following a split in their Friday double-header against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium, where Baltimore claimed a ten to two victory before dropping the second game six to three, incoming rain could wash out Sunday's matchup.

Because league officials do not intend to reschedule a game without postseason implications on Monday, the recent twin bill might mark the final appearances for several departing veterans and impending free agents like Trevor Rogers, Leody Taveras, Chris Bassitt, Andrew Kittredge, and Ryan Mountcastle.
