Oregon’s Dan Lanning is right to shut down quarterback Dante Moore

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning confirmed that quarterback Dante Moore will sit out the remainder of the 2026 campaign following a concussion sustained against USC on September 26. Moore managed 926 passing yards, nine scores, and zero interceptions across four appearances this year prior to the injury.

With the Ducks sitting at a 4-3 record and out of playoff contention, the program opted to shut down the signal-caller to protect his health ahead of his potential 2027 NFL Draft declaration. The team will return to action hosting Northwestern on Saturday afternoon.
