Open Thread: Tobias Harris trained with George Gervin

Tobias Harris revealed that his deep ties to San Antonio date back to his early childhood, when he regularly traveled to the area to train under the guidance of George Gervin. The forward explained that Gervin holds a close relationship with his father, Torrel Harris, and has served as a mentor figure to him since he was five or six years old.

Upon signing with the franchise, Gervin was among the initial individuals he contacted to share the news.

The acquisition brings Harris to the organization where he already shares a foundational connection through his long-standing association with Gervin's academy. Moving forward, the veteran player expressed eagerness to embed both himself and his relatives directly into the local community.
