Open Thread: St. Louis Blues @ Colorado Avalanche (7:00 P.M. MT)

The Colorado Avalanche return to action tonight for their home opener against the St. Louis Blues at Ball Arena following an impressive eight-goal victory earlier in the week.

Nathan MacKinnon and Artturi Lehkonen starred in that dominant win over Los Angeles, combining for multiple power-play goals while newcomer Jaden Schwartz chipped in a pair of assists. Meanwhile, the visiting Blues arrive in Denver carrying a matching record after Joel Hofer posted a twenty-four save shutout against Dallas.
