Omar Cooper Jr. posts 30 yards before injury

New York Jets rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. saw his regular-season debut cut short during the team's Week 1 clash with the Tennessee Titans.

The 22-year-old managed to accumulate 30 receiving yards before sustaining an early injury in the initial quarter. Team officials confirmed during the second half that he would not return to the contest.

The Jets' roster took an additional hit on defense when veteran safety Minkah Fitzpatrick also departed during the opening quarter due to a groin problem. Fitzpatrick, who joined New York via a trade with Miami in March, saw his status shift from questionable to doubtful in the third quarter prior to being completely shut down.

Despite losing both key contributors, New York ultimately secured the victory over Tennessee.
