Omar Cooper Jr., Minkah Fitzpatrick exit in opening quarter

The New York Jets absorbed significant early blows in their Week 1 matchup against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium, losing both wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. and three-time All-Pro defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick in the opening period.

Fitzpatrick sustained an apparent groin problem during Tennessee's very first drive with the ball, clutching at his leg before departing the field. Cooper likewise encountered an injury that prematurely halted his regular-season debut for the Jets.
