Oklahoma’s Brent Venables Gets Brutally Honest After Embarrassing South Carolina Loss

Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables took full responsibility for his team's 42-25 defeat against South Carolina, citing poor preparation and coaching after the Sooners fell to a 4-4 record. During the game, fans at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium directed their frustration toward offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle as the team struggled to move the ball.

While Venables declined to address potential staff changes, he admitted the squad was thoroughly outplayed in every facet of the contest. The loss leaves the Sooners with a 2-3 record in SEC play as they prepare for an upcoming matchup against Florida.
