Ohio State wide receiver earns weekly honors

Jeremiah Smith earned both Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and Associated Press National Player of the Week after a dominant performance for the Buckeyes. The standout wide receiver caught 12 passes for 217 yards and four touchdowns during a 42-17 victory over Illinois, tying a school record for single-game touchdown receptions.

His remarkable outing pushed his season totals to a nation-leading 617 receiving yards alongside seven scores. The record-setting receiver became only the sixth player in program history to surpass 200 receiving yards in a single contest as the team prepares to face Iowa next.
