Ohio State’s Ryan Day Sparks Firing Discussion With Negative History

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day is facing intense scrutiny from the fanbase following a Saturday defeat to Oregon that has effectively ended the Buckeyes' College Football Playoff hopes. The loss marks the program's third defeat of the season, a milestone not reached since 2011, and extends a streak of consecutive double-digit losses last seen in 2004.

While a coaching change is considered unlikely, the negative historical context has fueled widespread discussion on social media about Day's future. The Buckeyes now enter their upcoming matchup against Michigan with their season prospects in serious jeopardy.
