Ohio State’s National Championship Dreams Are Crumbling — And Ryan Day Is Running Out of Excuses

Ohio State fell to a 30-18 defeat against USC in Los Angeles, marking their second loss of the season and raising concerns about the program's championship viability. Despite the absence of injured quarterback Julian Sayin, the team's inability to generate offensive production until the final minutes and a defensive lapse against a struggling Trojans squad have put coach Ryan Day under significant pressure.

With a high-stakes matchup against Oregon approaching, the Buckeyes face an urgent need to address their lack of depth and tactical flexibility. The loss has effectively stalled their momentum in the national title race and forced a critical evaluation of their current trajectory.
