NFL suspends, fines 49ers owner Jed York after prostitution sting arrest

San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York has received a six-game suspension and a half-million-dollar penalty from the NFL following his involvement in an Ohio law enforcement sting. The executive was detained in late August after arranging a meeting through a fraudulent advertisement, subsequently resolving the matter through a reduced plea.

Having already missed the initial trio of matchups while league officials reviewed the situation, York is cleared to resume his organizational duties later in the month.
