NFL Secret Superstars 2026: 3 surprise NFC standouts from Week 3

Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota stepped in for the injured Jayden Daniels and led the Washington Commanders to a stunning 33-31 road upset against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3 of the 2026 season. Mariota completed 19 of 31 passes for 183 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions against a formidable defensive unit that had previously allowed very few scores and minimal yards per play.

Among his key connections was a 30-yard touchdown strike to Terry McLaurin in the third quarter.
