Murray leaves Championship bottom side Morton

Greenock Morton has parted ways with manager Ian Murray and coach Bill Orr following a difficult start to the Scottish Championship campaign. The team currently sits at the bottom of the league standings with a mere single point gathered from their first eight fixtures, trailing three points behind Queen's Park.

Financial and recruitment challenges stemming from sponsor difficulties have further complicated their season. In the wake of these departures, players Michael O'Halloran and Gary Miller will temporarily step in to manage the squad ahead of their upcoming home fixture against Raith Rovers.
