Monday Morning Texas Rangers Update

The Texas Rangers closed out their 2026 campaign with a nine-to-zero shutout defeat against Houston, sealing their playoff elimination and missing the postseason for the third consecutive year. Shawn McFarland, Jeff Wilson, Kennedi Landry, Evan Grant, and Bradford Doolittle reviewed the disappointing finish, noting a depleted pitching staff, a two-and-four finish across their final two series against sub-fifty-hundred opponents, and Jacob Latz emerging as a positive contributor.

Meanwhile, Bob Nightengale reported that former general manager Jon Daniels is no longer in contention for the primary leadership position with the Athletics franchise.
