Texas Rangers disappointed after stumbling on final weekend of season and missing playoffs

The Texas Rangers closed out their campaign in disappointment after dropping a six to four decision to the Minnesota Twins on the final day of the regular season. That loss, combined with a victory by the Houston Astros, left Texas one game outside of the postseason picture for their third consecutive year without a playoff berth.

First-year skipper Skip Schumaker expressed his frustration with the club's inability to secure wins on the road and against opponents with losing records. Veteran outfielder Brandon Nimmo and shortstop Corey Seager both reflected on the bitter end to a year that saw the franchise finish with an eighty-and-eighty-two record.
