Mohammad Yousuf credits MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid for India’s rise, takes dig at Pakistan

Former international cricketer Mohammad Yousuf recently discussed the contrasting trajectories of neighboring cricket programs during a podcast appearance. He attributed India's sustained success in limited-overs competition to strategic leadership choices, specifically highlighting the appointment of MS Dhoni ahead of the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa, alongside Rahul Dravid's efforts in managing youth development and junior pathways.

In contrast, Yousuf argued that poor administrative decisions in Pakistan left their system lagging behind.

Expanding on the assessment, Yousuf lauded Virat Kohli as the premier white-ball batsman of the contemporary era. He expressed concern that his own national team has failed to nurture top-tier talent capable of matching past generations since 2019, while also noting that some modern competitors lack the dedication required to maximize their potential during practice sessions.
