MLB Wild Card race: Rays at Phillies, Diamondbacks at Padres

Baseball fans and Chicago Cubs supporters keeping an eye on the playoff picture have a pair of key matchups on the evening slate. In Philadelphia, the Rays visit to face the Phillies with right-handers Griffin Jax and Aaron Nola scheduled to start, though threatening weather in the area could disrupt the schedule.

Wayne Randazzo and John Smoltz will handle the national television broadcast on Fox. Further west, the Diamondbacks travel to take on the Padres as Arizona puts a six-game winning streak on the line.

Taylor Clarke is expected to open for the Diamondbacks against San Diego right-hander Walker Buehler. That contest is scheduled to stream on MLB.TV.
