MLB Playoff Roundup: Brewers go up 2-0, Guardians strike first

The Milwaukee Brewers secured a 7-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers to take a 2-0 series lead in the National League Championship Series. William Contreras paced the offense with three hits and three RBIs, including a game-tying home run in the fifth inning, while the Milwaukee bullpen retired every batter they faced over the final five frames.

The Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto was pulled after 2.2 innings, and Logan Henderson surrendered four runs in his four innings of work.

In the American League Championship Series opener, the Cleveland Guardians defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 7-3. Despite trailing early due to RBI singles from Junior Caminero and Johnny DeLuca, the Guardians rallied to overcome Drew Rasmussen.

Chase DeLauter contributed a home run in the sixth inning to help Cleveland secure the road win.
