MLB Division Series 2026 discussion thread: Day 6

The American League Division Series is heating up as the Cleveland Guardians look to bounce back from a 2-0 deficit against the Chicago White Sox. After the Guardians secured a 9-3 victory in Game 3 on Sunday, the stakes are high for Game 4 tonight, with a potential Game 5 on Saturday at stake.

The series has already seen the Tampa Bay Rays eliminate the New York Yankees in a three-game sweep, while the National League’s Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers advanced to the League Championship Series. Tonight’s matchup pits left-handed starters Parker Messick of Cleveland and Hagen Smith of Chicago, with the White Sox’s dominant 1.29 ERA pitcher aiming to extend his team’s series lead.

The Guardians, meanwhile, will need a strong performance from Messick to keep their playoff hopes alive in a tightly contested series.
