The University of Missouri women’s golf team capped off its fall campaign with a strong second-place finish at the Jim West Challenge, marking their fourth straight top-three result. Competing at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas, the Tigers posted a team score of 12 under par, with rounds of eight under, even par, and four under.
Junior Alexandra Berglund delivered a standout performance, breaking her own 18-hole record with a 65 in the opening round—a three-stroke improvement over her previous best. Berglund’s total of 208 over 54 holes set a new personal record and ranked as the 10th-lowest in Mizzou women’s golf history, while her final round included three birdies and an eagle across her last four holes, securing her second career top-five finish in third place overall.
Addie Dobson, in her fifth season, tied for fifth with a four-under total, maintaining par or better on every hole in her first round. Senior Fleur van Beek and fifth-year Melanie Walker also contributed, with van Beek tying for eighth and Walker improving in each round to finish tied for 23rd.
The Tigers led after the first round but were overtaken by TCU, which posted a 13-under total to claim first place. North Texas finished just behind Mizzou in third, while the team will now take a break before returning for the Westbrook Invitational in February.
