Miyu Yamashita defends Maybank title for third victory this year and fifth in last 15 months

Miyu Yamashita secured a successful title defense at the Maybank Championship by sinking a clutch birdie putt on the final green to close out a round of 68. The Japanese star captured her third victory of the season and her fifth triumph in the last fifteen months, finishing two strokes ahead of runner-up Yan Liu in Malaysia.

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard finished three shots back to take a share of third place.
