Minor League Baseball has unveiled the 2026 Golden Bobblehead Award winners, recognizing standout promotional efforts across five categories. The Albuquerque Isotopes earned top honors for their Native American Heritage Night, which drew a crowd of 9,676 and generated nearly 1 million social media impressions.
The event featured a special jersey design incorporating the number 23—representing New Mexico’s federally recognized tribes—and raised over $25,000 for the Bob Chavez Scholarship for the Arts through an auction. Collaborating with the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, the Isotopes also hosted a giveaway of custom-designed caps and post-game fireworks set to Native American music, blending celebration with cultural education and community support.
In another category, the Arkansas Travelers’ Pitch, Putt & Paws initiative made waves by creating an inclusive sports experience for 41 children with physical, developmental, and sensory differences. Held at Dickey-Stephens Park, the event combined adaptive baseball, softball, and golf with therapy dogs, supported by seven local organizations.
Feedback from families was overwhelmingly positive, with all participants expressing enthusiasm for a return engagement next season, solidifying the event’s potential as an annual tradition.
