Mike Evans is active for the 49ers

Wide receiver Mike Evans will play for the 49ers on Sunday despite dealing with a rib issue that previously left him questionable. The pass catcher intends to utilize extra shielding around his ribs as his squad pursues a fourth consecutive victory against the Broncos.

Meanwhile, a number of teammates will sit out this matchup, including quarterback Kurtis Rourke, offensive tackle Enrique Cruz, cornerback Ephesians Prysock, linebacker Tatum Bethune, defensive end Nick Bosa, defensive tackle James Thompson, and running back Jordan James. The Broncos will also be missing several athletes for the contest.

Those inactives are linebacker Dondrea Tillman, offensive lineman Kage Casey, tight end Dallen Bentley, defensive lineman Tyler Onyedim, and quarterback Sam Ehlinger.
