UFC women’s flyweight contender Melissa Gatto expressed frustration after her fight at UFC Vegas 122 ended in a majority draw against Ernesta Kareckaite, despite what she believed was a winning performance. The bout was scored 29-27, 28-28, and 28-28, with Kareckaite deducted a point in the first round for an illegal fence grab.
Gatto, who felt she dominated the first and third rounds, called the decision surprising and suggested an officiating error may have played a role. She also admitted missing a potential armbar submission near the end of the third round, which could have secured the victory.
Despite the draw, Gatto remains eager to return to competition, hinting at a possible December comeback and openness to a rematch with Kareckaite if the UFC approves it.
