McCullum hails Brook’s captaincy after England move top of T20 world rankings

England's white-ball leader Brendon McCullum has heaped praise on Harry Brook following a dominant T20 series sweep against Sri Lanka that propelled the national squad to the top of the global rankings. McCullum highlighted the development of the skipper after the decisive eight-wicket triumph on Saturday, which pushed his remarkable record in charge to twenty-three victories across twenty-six finished matches.

Brook also claimed the player of the series accolade for his performances and will now shift focus alongside his teammates as the upcoming one-day international fixtures against Sri Lanka get underway later this week.
