Maryland football rumors: Mike Locksley is super fired, but when will it happen?

Following a severe 54-3 defeat against the UCLA Bruins on Saturday, the Maryland Terrapins currently hold a 2-2 record for the current season. Reports indicate that the university may soon replace head coach Mike Locksley, whose tenure since his 2018 hiring has produced only three winning seasons over the past eight years.

While Locksley remains in his position for now, the team faces a challenging upcoming schedule within the Big Ten featuring matchups against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Wisconsin Badgers, USC Trojans, and Penn State Nittany Lions. During a previous potential transition, UCLA head coach Bob Chesney had reportedly been monitored by the program as a prospective candidate.
