Mariners News: Dan Wilson, Rick Rizzs, and The Houston Astros

The Seattle Mariners concluded their campaign with a 7-3 victory that marked the final broadcast for retiring announcer Rick Rizzs. Following the conclusion of the schedule, management decided that skipper Dan Wilson will not return to the dugout for the 2027 season, though alternative roles within the franchise remain a possibility.

Meanwhile, the Houston Astros secured the American League West division crown after finishing the regular schedule with an even 81-81 record, capped by an on-field clubhouse celebration.

Elsewhere across the league, veteran outfielder George Springer is contemplating hanging up his cleats as he approaches free agency, while league officials have held discussions with the White House regarding a proposed regular season contest hosted inside Grand Teton National Park.
