Manchester United dealt huge blow in race for Barcelona star

Barcelona have forcefully dismissed speculation connecting twenty-three-year-old midfielder Fermin Lopez with a transfer to Manchester United. A high-ranking club official laughed off the rumors, stating that no formal inquiries have been made and that the player is completely unavailable because he forms a core part of the squad under manager Hansi Flick.

Sources close to Old Trafford have similarly downplayed any pursuit of the Spaniard, indicating that the market noise originated from intermediaries rather than actual intent from the buying clubs.
