Mammoth Give Top Blueline Prospect His First NHL Call-up

The Utah Mammoth continued their dominant start to the 2026/27 NHL season with a hard-fought 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night. The win marked their seventh of the season, keeping them firmly in contention for the top spot in the Central Division.

Utah’s offensive firepower shone through as Clayton Keller, Kevin Stenlund, Nate Schmidt, and Nick Schmaltz each contributed a goal and an assist, while Kailer Yamamoto added another tally. Goaltender Sebastian Cossa made 15 saves to secure the win, including a crucial performance in the late stages of the game.

The Penguins, despite a strong effort early on, fell short after a late rally failed to overcome Utah’s resilience. This victory further solidifies the Mammoth’s position as a team to watch in the early stages of the campaign.
