Madhya Pradesh has announced a seventeen-member roster for the upcoming Ranji Trophy campaign, with Shubham Sharma stepping in as captain for the opening fixtures. The team will be missing Rajat Patidar and Arshad Khan due to India A commitments, alongside Venkatesh Iyer who is recovering from surgery.
Chandrakant Pandit will serve as head coach as the squad prepares to face Jammu and Kashmir in Srinagar.
To bolster the lineup, the association added Andhra fast bowler Ravi Kiran as a guest participant for the season. Last year, the squad advanced to the quarter-finals after finishing at the summit of their group with three victories and four draws.
They will seek to maintain that competitive momentum despite beginning the new schedule without several key contributors.
