Luka Doncic delivered a stellar performance to push the Los Angeles Lakers to a 3-0 record following a 132-123 triumph against the Utah Jazz on Sunday. Doncic tallied 52 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists, overcoming an early 18-point deficit to secure the victory.
By scoring at least 40 points, he moved past LeBron James for the sixth-highest total of 40-point games in franchise history.
This milestone marks the 10th time in Doncic's career that he has reached the 50-point threshold, placing him behind only James Harden and Damian Lillard for such performances since his rookie year in 2018. Having arrived via a trade from the Mavericks in February 2025, the star guard is currently in his third season with Los Angeles.
He recently mentioned to the California Post that he desires to remain with the organization for the remainder of his professional career.
