LSU football falls in US LBM Coaches Poll after Kentucky loss

The LSU football program suffered a setback in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll following a narrow loss to Kentucky in Week 6, dropping in the rankings as a result. The Wildcats’ victory over the Tigers marked a significant shift in the SEC standings, with Georgia rising to the top spot in the poll after a strong season start.

Meanwhile, the poll saw widespread movement, including Florida’s exit from the top 25 and a surge for Big Ten teams following a chaotic week of upsets across college football. The SEC’s instability continued as Texas A&M’s unexpected loss to Missouri further reshuffled the rankings, while Notre Dame and Tennessee also saw adjustments based on their recent performances.

With Week 7 approaching, the poll’s volatility suggests another unpredictable round of results ahead for top contenders.
