UCLA rises to No. 12, moves past USC in US LBM Coaches Poll

The college football landscape shifted dramatically in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, with UCLA climbing to No. 12 after a decisive Week 6 victory over Oregon.

The Bruins’ win marked a pivotal moment for the program, as it now holds a stronger position in the College Football Playoff race than USC, which had previously led the charge. Meanwhile, USC secured a critical road win of its own, defeating Penn State 31-23 in a hard-fought Big Ten clash at Beaver Stadium.

The Trojans’ victory, led by quarterback Jayden Maiava, eased pressure on head coach Lincoln Riley, who had faced skepticism before the game. With the Big Ten’s top teams now set for a potential top-10 showdown, the poll reflects a chaotic but thrilling week of upsets and standout performances across college football.
