Robin Orins has announced his departure from professional cycling after a two-year tenure with Lotto-Intermarché. The 24-year-old Belgian cited ongoing mental health struggles and physical exhaustion as the primary reasons for his decision to step away from the sport.
Despite a promising youth career that included podium finishes at the U23 Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Paris-Roubaix, Orins found the transition to the professional peloton difficult. After attempting to return to competition this season, he concluded that his body and mind were no longer capable of sustaining the demands of the sport.
His final professional appearances occurred at the Belgian National Championships in June.
