Lidl-Trek announce early departure of Giulio Ciccone on eve of final race together at Il Lombardia

Giulio Ciccone and his current squad have mutually decided to terminate his contract early, meaning the upcoming weekend serves as his final appearance for the outfit. The Italian athlete was previously signed through 2029 after arriving in 2019, but will now conclude an eight-season run that featured ten total victories.

This weekend at the upcoming Italian monument, he shares leadership duties with Quinn Simmons and Juan Ayuso. Rumors strongly link him to a future transfer involving Tom Pidcock and Pinarello Q36.5.
