BC Partners Credit announced an initial injection of capital for LIV Golf, part of a planned $300 million financing package aimed at guiding the league out of Chapter 11 and toward a 2027 season featuring ten tournaments, half of them overseas. The funding, which still requires court approval, is intended to give players equity stakes in their teams and the league itself, according to partner Ted Goldthorpe, who leads the credit arm of BC Partners.
LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil praised the investment as a key milestone, while players grapple with the loss of the Saudi Public Investment Fund’s more‑than‑$5 billion backing. Sergio Garcia has asked the court to clarify his contract status, and recent winner Adrian Meronk, who claimed the Dunhill Links Championship, said he is waiting to see how the new financing will affect his future with the circuit.
