'We all have huge sympathy': Why England cricket ready to fund West Indies Test

The England and Wales Cricket Board is considering providing monetary assistance to Cricket West Indies to facilitate a women's Test match in the Caribbean next year. This fixture is considered a key component of England's long-term strategy to gain additional experience in the longer format ahead of the 2027 Ashes series.

Despite ongoing budgetary constraints and austerity measures impacting the West Indies board, the planned multi-format tour is currently proceeding as intended.
