South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas has issued an ultimatum regarding the future of LIV Golf events in Adelaide. The official stated that the continued participation of high-profile players like Bryson DeChambeau and Cameron Smith is vital for the tournament to maintain its high standards.
This demand follows a bankruptcy court ruling that allowed the league to void the contracts of 19 players, including both DeChambeau and Smith. While the league has expressed intentions to return to the region, the government is closely evaluating the roster situation before confirming future commitments.
Despite previous successes and a long-term agreement through 2031, the uncertainty surrounding the player lineup has cast doubt on the upcoming schedule.
