Bangladesh’s Litton Das has received positive news following his right hip joint injury, which sidelined him from the recent ODI series against Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. Medical scans conducted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) revealed no major damage, though a minor muscle issue was identified.
Das underwent light physiotherapy sessions at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on October 19, with further assessments planned to determine his availability for the upcoming Test series against West Indies, starting October 28 in Dhaka. While BCB officials remain cautiously optimistic, his fitness will be closely monitored over the next few days before a final decision is made.
Meanwhile, off-spinner Nayeem Hasan is progressing in his recovery from a right hamstring strain suffered during the one-off Test against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi. The injury occurred while diving to stop a boundary, forcing him to complete the match with strapping.
Hasan has since begun a structured rehabilitation program and will undergo a formal fitness test on October 22. He reported no discomfort during recent bowling drills, though high-speed movements remain a concern.
The West Indies team arrived in Dhaka on October 18, with preparations underway for the two-match Test series, beginning at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on October 28.
