West Indies captain Hayley Matthews has surged to a career-best fourth position in the ICC Women's ODI batting rankings following a dominant performance against Zimbabwe. Her series-opening 182 and a final-match 118 brought her total to five centuries this calendar year, matching a record previously held by Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, and Smriti Mandhana.
While her batting and all-rounder rankings climbed to new heights, her standing among bowlers dipped to sixth after failing to take a wicket during the 2-1 series victory.
In the latest ICC standings, Smriti Mandhana retains the top batting spot, followed by Laura Wolvaardt and Beth Mooney. Ashleigh Gardner continues to lead the all-rounder rankings, though Matthews has narrowed the gap to 30 points.
Alana King remains the highest-ranked bowler, with Ashleigh Gardner and Sophie Ecclestone rounding out the top three.
