The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finalized its T20I squad selections ahead of India’s upcoming tour of New Zealand, which includes a five-match T20 series followed by three ODIs and two Tests. According to reports, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will return to the national team’s T20I lineup, marking his comeback after a period away from the format.
The selection meeting took place at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati, where BCCI officials, including interim selection committee head Pragyan Ojha and secretary Devajit Saikia, reviewed both the T20I squad and the India A team set to travel to New Zealand later this month. Kumar’s inclusion has generated excitement among fans and former players, who have long supported his return to the Men in Blue in limited-overs cricket.
