The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced an open call for applications to fill a single vacancy on its Men’s Selection Committee. The newly appointed member will oversee the selection of India’s senior men’s team across all formats—Tests, One-Day Internationals, and Twenty20s—while also playing a key role in talent identification and player development.
Responsibilities include evaluating players through domestic and international matches, attending team meetings, and preparing quarterly performance reports for the BCCI’s governing body. The selected individual will also represent the committee in media interactions and assist in appointing team captains for each format.
Eligibility requires candidates to have either played a minimum of seven Test matches, 30 first-class matches, or 10 ODIs combined with 20 first-class appearances. Applicants must have retired from professional cricket at least five years prior and cannot have served on any BCCI cricket committee for a cumulative total of five years.
Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM IST on October 14, 2026, with shortlisted candidates invited for personal interviews following the screening process.
