Reigning champion Lando Norris said he often reviews his own words after media sessions and admits he is "not the best" in front of reporters, especially when his remarks cause controversy. He reflected on recent incidents, including a harsh comment about Franco Colapinto after the Alpine driver’s crash at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, for which Norris later issued an apology, and a sarcastic exchange with a journalist following his clash with teammate Oscar Piastri during the Singapore sprint race.
Norris also spoke candidly after qualifying in the United States, where he finished fifth in Austin, saying he spends hours questioning his comments and actions. He emphasized his desire for mutual respect in the sport, acknowledging that while fans appreciate his openness, he must be more careful with his media interactions.
