Kishan breaks 8-year-old record, becomes India's highest scorer at No.5 or lower

During the semifinal match against Sri Lanka, Ishan Kishan delivered an exceptional knock by finishing not out with 80 runs to his name. Even though the batting side stumbled early on after losing quick wickets, the left-hander anchored the innings and successfully pushed the total to a competitive 170.

Earlier in the contest, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi contributed a quick 38 to establish a steady start, despite the opposing bowling attack striking at regular intervals.
