Kirk Cousins-Fernando Mendoza chatter leads Las Vegas Raiders discussion in Week 8 NFL Power Rankings

The Las Vegas Raiders have plummeted in recent power rankings following a winless October that extended their losing streak to four games. Despite the team's struggles, head coach Klint Kubiak has officially committed to starting Kirk Cousins for the upcoming Week 8 matchup against the New York Jets.

While fans and analysts continue to debate when rookie Fernando Mendoza will receive his first start, the veteran quarterback remains the team's primary signal-caller. Cousins currently leads the league with 16 touchdown passes and has accumulated 1,877 passing yards this season.

Although the team maintains that they are still mathematically in contention for a playoff spot, the ongoing slide has intensified discussions regarding the organization's long-term strategy and potential trade interest in their veteran starter.
